The gayborhood hits this place daily.  This tri-level gym features full array of machines and free-weights as well as spinning, pilates and aerobic classes.  Towel service is also available.  Of course, there is also a sauna, steam room and jacuzzi.  Located on the corner of Lake Avenue and Cordova in the heart of the Lake Avenue Shopping District.  Two-hour, validated parking, Monday through Friday.  Free on weekends.

Bally Total Fitness
Gym Rating:  7
Located in Old Town, Bally's is an older gym and could benefit from a refurbishment but still serves its purpose.  The two-level gym features free-weights and machines as well as daily aerobics and pilates classes.  There is a dry sauna too.  Metered street parking or use the lot across the street (enter on Marengo).

24-Hour Fitness Sport - Downtown Pasadena
Gym Rating:  10
Located just east of Old Town in the former Pasadena Star News building, this site offers everything, including an indoor pool, rock climbing wall, basketball and every weight imaginable.  There is a co-ed sauna and co-ed steam room.  Metered street parking or use the lot on Union.

24-Hour Fitness East Pasadena
Gym Rating:  6
Located on the Pasadena/Sierra Madre boarder, this site is older and smaller than its downtown counterpart but still offers a good selection of equipment and classes.  The gym also offers a men's dry sauna.  Free parking.

The newest gym in Pasadena.  Features everything you want in a gym, including coin lockers, physical therapy/sports med, pro shop, pool, Group X, basketball court, circuit training, kids' club, group cycling.  Free parking.

Equinox
Gym Rating:  10
Chic & exclusive, located in the Paseo.  This is Pasadena's best gym and is well worth the membership fee.  A great assortment of classes and weights.  The club also offers massage, personal training, steam room, day care, Pilates and a juice bar.  Parking is in the Paseo and is time restricted.

Pasadena Rose Bowl
The road surrounding the Rose Bowl is approximately 3 miles long (5km) and features a well paved surface with little car traffic at most times of the day. If you ride clockwise, you can go for as you want, virtually uninterrupted. This street is fairly flat and offers some of the best eye candy in the city!

C.I.C.L.E. (Cyclists Inciting Change thru Live Exchange) is based in Los Angeles and works to promote the bicycle as a viable, healthy, and sustainable transportation choice.

Chantry Flats
This is one of the most popular and most accessible rides for intermediate to advanced cyclists.  Build those glutes!

Brown Mountain-JPL
The trails behind JPL are a local favorite but not for the faint of heart.  This is a serious workout day or night and guaranteed to build those ass muscles.  Hit the trails, build that butt!

Running
Pasadena Rose Bowl
The road surrounding the Rose Bowl 3 mile circular road makes the perfect run,  More hotties here on a summer evening than at any other place in the state.


Swimming
AAF Rose Bowl Aquatics Center
Men in speedos and the true definition of "Swimmer's Build".  Do you need another reason?  Located at the south end of Brookside Park in the Rose Bowl complex.
